My Dearest Friend,

A few years ago, I heard a famous actress say, “Their opinion is none of your business.” Those words still ring in my ears as true. Whether it is a family member, a lover, a spouse, a foe, a friend or anyone outside of the Lord - it’s truly no concern for you. I could have saved myself years of grief and bending over backward if I had understood and applied this concept sooner. But you don’t know what you don’t know until you know it, and I learned the hard way.

You see, your value was written in the stars before you were even born. Your God fearfully and wonderfully made you, knitting you together in your mother’s womb. You were not designed to be a machine. You were not designed to constantly feel like you need the approval of others. You were designed with a specific set of spiritual gifts. More so, you were made in God’s image. All of us are. But only some of us know and understand this value.

The next time you find yourself wondering if you are good enough or kind enough or just enough… remember, your value is so high it was bought and paid for with the blood of Jesus. So chin up, sis! God’s got a big plan for you as soon as you let him step in and take the wheel.

With heaps of love,

Crystal
