Skin & Beauty Edit

It's been a while since I posted something beauty or really product oriented, so I thought today would be nice for me to share a few of my beauty edits. These are tried and true products I've been using for the past few months. I've divided them into skincare, face, and finishing touches. I've tried dozens of products and these are the ones I've decided work the best with my skin. I do want to note that I eat a mostly vegan diet, drink lots of water and get exercise daily. I've noticed since I removed most animal products out of my daily intake - my eyes have turned really clear and a light brown almost gold color. It really has made an overall difference in my complexion and hair. I hope you enjoy and would love to hear what products really work for you!

Skincare

I have a simple theory with skincare - keep it simple and try things out long enough for something to work. I start by using First Aid Beauty's cleanser and toning pads. I use the toning pads at least once a day if my skin feels like it needs it. I use the cleanser in the morning and evening. I didn't list it above, but to remove eye makeup I use organic coconut oil on a cotton ball and then rinse.

A few times a week I use a mask, one of my favorites for keeping blemishes at bay is Glam Glow's Youthmud. I use 2-3 times a week. If you can't afford the full size, they do make them in trial containers for about $20. It will last a few weeks for you to test the product.

For daytime moisturizer my go to is First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream. For night, I slather on Oil of Olay's Reginerest Night Cream. First Aid Beauty also makes a great starter kit for about $30 and it lasts over a month. You can upgrade to full size products if you need to later on, but it won't break a budget to get things going. My skin fluctuates between breaking out and being dry. These products tend to give it what it needs, but I do analyze everyday.

Face

To even out my complexion I start by putting concealer and primer on my face. I've found that BareMinerals makes the best for my skin. I use their foundation and mineral veil next. I love the translucent glow it gives me. I finish off with Benefit Benetint for cheeks. It gives them a slightly flushed look and stays on all day without getting greasy. It's also great as a lip stain!

Finishing Touches

For eyes, I like to use Benefit's Lash Primer. It can be used as a mascara, but I like a bold lash so I layer it under BareMinerals Lash Domination. I highly recommend using Lash Domination! It's a great find for under $20 and lasts several months. The wand really separates and the formula lengthens.

For lips, I like to use Nars Lip Crayon in Cruella for a bold lip. Kate Moss has a great line found at most drug stores and her color selection is on point! I like the formula and doesn't have a weird taste like some do. Tarte collections has my favorite gloss for pink. It looks clear, but when worn alone gives a soft petal rose color.
