TGIF! I can’t tell you how happy I am it’s finally Friday! What a week! I am looking forward to taking it slow this weekend. Tonight I have dinner with a group of friends and then tomorrow I’m photographing a series of designer clothes in my home to share more inspiration for you guys! Looking forward to showcasing new brands like - Staud, Olivia Rubin, and RED Valentino. Follow along over the weekend on Instagram to get a sneak peek at some of the shots. They probably won’t release until March on the blog. Anyhow today I wanted to share with on one of my favorite pieces in my Winter/Spring wardrobe: the pink slip skirt.

Slip skirts are in my opinion an undervalued item. Most people don’t own one and they are such a versatile piece. You can wear with tights, a sweater, and boots for the Winter and then in Spring/Summer pair with a blouse, shell or even a cami and flat sandals. The key is to find a skirt that skims the body’s shape without being too tight. I picked this one up (on clearance now!) before Christmas at Target in-store. It came in both a deep teal and this rosy shade of pink. I love the way it pairs with brown like this plush coat from Amazon the Drop and a pair of leopard ballet flats. Just adorable! Four Neutral Amazon Fall Looks

Fall is here officially and I thought it would be the perfect time to share a few basics you need for your closet right now! Right now the colors oatmeal, mocha, and mustard are in! As much as I love tons of color I also love to reach for the basics on days I want to feel cozy. A few things I recently added and love are this soft chenille oatmeal sweater, this mocha-colored sweater dress, a walnut faux leather skirt, an off-the-shoulder top, and a black long-sleeve basic tee! You can grab all of these items from Amazon and they are super affordable. I’ve had these tan boots and a Coach purse (an old one, but a newer version in the same color here) on repeat as my main accessories lately. Don’t forget to grab a hat to top it all off! 30 Days of Outfits: Day 2

I’ve had so much fun getting this new series of 30 Days of Outfits started! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. Today I’m sharing the sweetest little pink sweater (similar by the same company here) and a flirty short skirt from Amazon. Yesterday I shared a really classic Fall look and today I’m going with more girly vibes. This time of year the temperatures in Texas swing from freezing to hot and humid. We typically have milder cold weather months. I added accessories with gold hardware like this adorable pink purse and these neutral studded flats. Finally, I wore a pair of really sweet floral earrings sent over by my friends at Amavia. I love their pieces so much!

Build Your Dreams Daily

Time is precious. It’s the one form of currency we cannot get back. Over the past few years, I’ve grown to be more and more intentional with how I spend my time. Taking out and saying no to activities that are energy draining. Spending time doing the things that bring me joy. Intentionally carving out special moments with people I love and care about. As I’ve done this day after day I realize most days I am living a dream I had years ago. Back in 2017, I went through a period of life that was incredibly trying. During that time I remember having a vision where I spent my time as much as possible in nature and traveling to see things I love. It was a peaceful vision. I’m happy to report that five years later much of my free time is spent doing just that. If you want your life to change, start taking small daily steps towards that life. Spring Accessory and Fashion Forecast

Spring is about a month away and I’m itching for this time of year. I love the color of the flowers that bloom and come out of hiding after a barren bleak Winter. As we move into the transition between Spring and Winter I try to refresh my closet with a few new added pieces. This season I’m adding touches of woven raffia (like the slides from Wal-mart featured here) and patchwork (this skirt is a total steal from Amazon). As I look to high end designers like Zimmerman, Etro and LoveShackFancy I see their inventory is flooded with mix and match prints. I love taking inspiration from luxury fashion and incorporating those themes into a budget friendly wardrobe.
