Notes on Returning No. 12
What a beautiful week! The weather finally dropped to the high 80’s which feels amazing after months of 100 degree days. I have so much to share with you all after a Summer of very unexpected events. I never finished writing about my trip to New York and time in Rockport. Stay tuned for upcoming content around some of that! I also have more to share about a little trip to Marble Falls, TX where I recorded a Podcast episode. The Lord has been full of blessings in this season and I’m happy to tell you it was needed after years of being in the wilderness.
Many of you have been inquiring about photography tips and editing. I have a one hour photography course on sale right now and it includes Lightroom presets for editing cell phone pictures. No expensive equipment needed and very simple. You’ll learn the basics of how to take pictures with a more editorial and professional angle.
This week I wrote a blog post sharing a few Fall things here along with How to Develop Your Authentic Style tips. I’m also currently reading The Creative Act, by Rick Rubin. Very impressed with his work and so far, it’s been refreshing. I’ve also been working on a few new home decor projects. You can check out the new tile on my fireplace here and the pollen powder yellow wall I recently painted here. I had lunch last week with Courtney nd we will be doing a new project over the Fall together. Courtney is a Houston Interior Designer and long time friend of mine from college. Furthermore, I wrote the first chapter of my second book. Looking forward to see what unravels from it. I had no idea how the my last book was going to end until it finally was finished in April.
For wardrobe recommendations I recently got this beautiful wool cashmere long coat, and these two silk dresses from Quince. So excited to wear them! I bought a sweater last year from them and fell in love with their quality of fabric. If fabric isn’t comfortable, I just can’t do it! You can check out my entire Quince Fall Sale Edit here.
