I love sweater weather! For the next three days, I wanted to share with a few sweater worthy looks using the same cobalt sweater in different ways. I’ll show you a casual look, a Friday night out look and a holiday party look. I’m a believer in making sure you get the most out of every investment you purchase. Part of that comes from my belief in being environmentally responsible and part of it comes from constantly getting bored from doing the same things over and over. One of my favorite companies that are ethics based and follow a similar philosophy is Cuyana. If you haven’t checked them out before they make items that will last a lifetime. Their mission is to provide things for your life that are higher in quality and instead of cheaply made.

I love the way blue and black look together. This shade of blue is so vibrant and really looks great against the toughness of the black leather pants. Also, for a fun little pop - I added a printed shoe (the heels are no longer available, but I found a few other fun ones - here, here and here). Remember, when in doubt dress in the rule of three's. One bright and two neutrals or vice versa.

Because the outfit is a little tougher looking, I felt like it was only appropriate to add a feminine clutch. This is an easy DIY project idea - add a bow to pretty much any lacey clutch and you have a perfect party purse! I think a clutch is really the best option when you are out and about for the weekend. All you really need is room for a debit card or some cash, lipstick and a cell phone for snaps or selfies (because let's be honest - that's pretty much what we use our phones for these days... no one actually spends much time talking on them).

I've been in the sales world for a while, technology in fact and it amazes me every day how often someone will answer my email, text or LinkedIn messaging before they pick up to answer the phone. Technology hasn't just shaped the way we do business, but the way we communicate in general. Did you know that Oxford Dictionary named Emoji as the word of the year for 2015!?!? I couldn't believe it! You can read more about it here, but those little pictures really changed our ability to use text more and talk less.
