As summertime continues, I find that the nautical look is one of my favorites. Navy, white and brights all make up the palette for my current look. I've been collecting navy pieces over the course of the past few months. For a while there, navy was a really difficult color to find. However, it's back! And I just couldn't be more excited. This is such an easy going look and one I picked up on discount.
My daughter and I took sometime this evening to grab some gelato and walk up and down the beach. I try to get as many steps in possible everyday. I think it's healthy to stay active and move your body as much as possible. I've been completely absorbed in the way that the French view food, exercise and style. I think they are extremely in tune with how the body reacts to schedules, taste and digestion. If you haven't read, French Women Don't Get Fat - I highly recommend it. It's all about have small pleasures without overindulging.
One of the other things I really enjoy about the summer, are the sailboats. Truth be told, I've always wanted to learn how to sail and it's on my bucket list for my 30's. Speaking of 30... it's quickly approaching for me. As I've grown older, I've refined my style and beauty habits. I try to drink as much water as possible, limit my caffeine intake, and eat cleanly. That doesn't mean I don't have a few bites of something decadent... I just only have a few bites.
I really hope you guys enjoy the new layout of the blog. I am going to try to get up more travel and beauty posts over the summer. I've been dying to share a hair tutorial with you and would like to incorporate more video into the blog. If you don't follow me already on Snapchat - crystalksherard... You can see the day to day of life in Houston.
