Since Memorial Day is right around the corner, I thought I would share a holiday appropriate outfit for you guys today. When it comes to holidays, I love to share my enthusiasm for the occasion by wearing things that have touches of whatever the holiday entails. Whether it's a swipe of red lipstick or a simple scarf like the one I'm wearing today - you can add touches for the weekend without looking like the American Flag threw up all over you.
A simple white dress is one of my favorite Spring and Summer pieces. I really love how this one is made of cotton so it's breathable and cool during the hot months. I added a simple pair of metallic sandals and a nude clutch. I picked this little scarf up in the novelty section at Target this week for a few dollars, but rounded up other ones here, here, and here. You could easily pair this lighter blue one with these ballet flats last worn here for an afternoon BBQ.

Also, don't forget to grab a cute swimsuit for the weekend if you are getting some sun. I love this blue Michael Kors one last worn here, or a simple red one. You can wear the scarf in your hair or tied on the handle of your tote. I really love these sunglasses or this hair pin for a finishing touch!
