Long Striped Dress

Long Striped Dress - Three Heel Clicks 4.jpg
Dress: Target (not available online, but love this one) // Shoes: Franco Sarto (similar in white here) // Bag: Coach // Sunnies: Nine West

A striped maxi is a great option for Spring. I bought this dress at Target and it hasn't hit the online store yet, but I think it's going to be one of my favorite warm weather options. Long dresses and skirts have a slightly bohemian vibe making them perfect for a weekend or travel look. They transition really great from day to night with the change of a shoe and bag. You can also wear your hair up for a little more formal of a look if you are going to dinner.

Leather Slides

A flat sandals is great for Spring and Summer! It works with jeans, shorts, dresses and skirts for a relaxed look.

What I love the most about them is that you can sit comfortably and when paired with a cardigan, they keep you a little warmer than a typical sundress. This one has a light blue and white stripe made out of a soft breathable cotton. I paired it with these white slides (which are becoming my favorite style for warm weather) seen in this post and this post and a denim blue leather saddle bag (worn in this and this post I did for Coach).

Straw Bags Under $60

Speaking of accessories, I thought I share a few finds for this season. If you haven't jumped on the basket bag trend, I highly recommend looking for a straw bag. They really never go out of style and come in a variety of sizes right now. I opted for a clutch version, but I really like this moroccon market bag. If  you are looking for a new hat, I just ordered this boater. I prefer a wider brim hat for the shape of my face and love the soft color of this one.

With the weekend quickly approaching (and MUCH needed), I'm thinking about spending some time outside since it's been a little bit cooler these past few days. It's the perfect time of year in Houston to go for a picnic or long walk. The wildflowers are still in bloom and the breeze has been blowing so much lately. If you are in Houston, check out Terry Hershey Park or White Oak Bayou for a place to walk or sit out to read a book. Another favorite spot is the green lawn outside of the Menil Collection. The art gallery is free and sits right in the middle West University one of the oldest and prettiest neighborhoods in the city!
