Overall Dress
Sweater: Old Navy // Overalls: Anna Kaci // Flats: LC Lauren Conrad // Purse: French Connection // Sunglasses: Elie Tahari
There's something youthful in a pair of overalls. Being from the South, they've been a part of my wardrobe since I was little. Although they are kind of utilitarian, you can find some more feminine options like this skirt version or these floral ones (worn in this post) for a girly look. I layered a pink sweater (seen here and here) underneath and ballet flats for a comfortable walk around town. I really like the sweetness of this pale pink and blue color combination. It's perfect for Spring!
If you are thinking about getting a pair of overalls, they are really versatile. I recommend finding some that fit your body type. You can layer a button up underneath or sweater for a polished look, or if you are wanting a more girly look try an off the shoulder top or one with a peter pan collar.
A Few Ways to Style Overalls
As far as hair is concerned, a low straight ponytail is a pretty good staple. I've been wearing my hair up a lot lately, and this style is perfect to add a ribbon tied into a bow. I really like the look of velvet ribbons or you can go with eyelet lace. The sleekness of the ponytail help balance a ribbon.
