Sweater Dress: Romeo and Juliet Couture (love this one) // Loafers: Coach // Bag: Michael Kors // Lipstick: Maybelline
I've been sporting a deep colored lip for the past couple of weeks. I usually don't venture into the darker shades of red and stick more to coral or candy apple, but I've been loving this color lately. Lipstick is probably my favorite thing about makeup. It can change your whole face. Although I've tried countless brands, I seem to keep going back to Maybelline lately. They manufacture a great color selection at a great price and they are really accessible to find. Pretty much every drugstore has several to choose from.
Speaking of this color, I didn't stop at lipstick. I've moved onto incorporating it more into my Fall wardrobe. Last year, I wore a similar shade for Christmas (see here). This sweater dress is perfect for our weird weather right now. I wore it last weekend and it was so comfy for a Saturday afternoon and evening. It's breathable which has really made it perfect for our warmer parts of the day, but snuggly for cooler evenings. I paired it with my favorite leather loafers (last seen here) and simple leather crossbody.
A sweater dress is one of my favorite things to wear during transitional seasons. They are so easy to throw on and take little effort to iron. I also like the way a shoe can change up the entire feel. I plan on wear this one later on in the Winter with my over-the-knee boots and a longer cream colored coat (like this vintage one). Whenever I purchase anything, I try to think of two or three ways I can wear the item. I don't like the concept of a trendy or disposable wardrobe.
