Sweet Office Wear
I thought I'd share a little something different with you guys today. If you notice from my posts earlier in the year the format is a little different. Frankly, I wanted to simplify things. I think one of the reasons I took a break was from the amount of frustration it was to have a complex layout. I decided moving forward I would still create aesthetic photographs and points of interest, however I believe less can have a little bit more of an impact sometimes. You'll notice that although I list brands on what I'm wearing underneath the caption (like every other blogger ever), I've decided not to link the text. You will be able to scroll through the images below to shop the post out of simplicity's sake. If I can directly find the item for shopping, you will find similar items or you are welcome to message me for more information.

Now onto the fun stuff. I chose to wear this summery white chiffon dress today to work. I had a pretty big marketing meeting so I wanted to keep my outfit conservation, but still soft. I wore a pink blazer with polka dot lining over the dress to give it a more businesslike feel. That's a fun way of getting more out of your closet and not looking like every other suit out there.
For accessories I wore velvet pink lace up flats for most of the work day and then changed into a pair of heel flats for the meeting. I commonly do that because I walk a lot and don't want to cause extra pain to my previously injured knee. I wore a fringe bucket bag (and carried and additional white leather laptop bag) to the meeting. Finally, to keep jewelry delicate I added drop down pearl earrings in the lightest weight metal I could find.
On a final note, I am going to start up Daily Dose of Style again where I just do a single snapshot for inspiration. I'll keep you posted when that piece of the blog resumes! Hope you enjoyed the first post in a long time full of style and I'd like to hear about some of the ways you guys spruce up office outfits?
