Pale Blue Coat & Polka Dot Scarf
Yesterday I shared about some of my favorite inspirational ideas for a Winter Style Guide. From cozy layers to luxurious fabrics there are looks to suit anyone. Today I'm expanding upon the Pastel Palette also talked about in yesterday's post. I don't know about you, but pastels are the softer side of cool Winter months. Although they are oftentimes worn during the Spring, they happen to look beautiful against soft gray skies and white snow. Today's look pairs rose gold accessories with a pink sweater, blue coat and vintage polka dot scarf.
Let's start with the outerwear. This fuzzy blue single breasted coat was a coveted find on clearance at the end of Winter a few years ago. Although it's no longer available I found several that might be of interest ranging in various price points. H&M has an especially excellent collection with items under $100.
I love the look and feel of rose gold for accessories. This bag is one I've had for years (see here and here) so when I found these slip on loafers I immediately gravitated towards them. Penny loafers are fantastic for Fall and warmer Winter months. You can shop a few versions of these accessories below! They also worked well with the ballet pink sweater worn beneath this jacket.
Finally, to add a little whimsy to the outfit I grabbed one of my grandma's heirloom scarfs in a white and polka dot print. I love finding new ways to tie scarves since they are incredibly versatile. Adding one to the tote is another easy option if you feel like a bow necktie is a little too much. Hope you guys are staying warm out there and I can't wait to share more Winter inspired outfits with you!
