Fuzzy Pink
In continuing to carry on inspiration for Winter looks for you guys this week (see the Winter Style Guide posted earlier and this post from yesterday) I thought I'd share a really comfy look today. I talked about layering in Wednesday's post because it's vital when the temperatures drop below freezing. When you are outside you need to bundle up, but when you go indoors you may want to take off a few layers depending on the establishment's temperature. Here I went with a cotton candy pink sweater (from this post last year) layered under a black cardigan robe. I added a pink toggle coat on top for warmth outdoors.
Another thing I think helps is to have good footwear. I bought these faux shearling boots last year for a trip and removed the braided detail to give them a simplistic style. I really love how they are water resistant so they work well for rainy or snowy days. They also are really cozy and warm. I found two other similar styles here and here (under $20 for these).
Now onto accessories! Since I had a few layers already on I chose not to wear a scarf, but did add earmuffs. Earmuffs are one of my favorite head pieces for Winter since they keep your ears warm without messing up your hair. Don't get me wrong, I love a great hat (see this page for inspo!), but sometimes I want to let my hair hang loose without worrying about hat hair.
Finally, to top it all off I added this adorable satchel that has a removable strap. When it's cold it's nice to go hands free! This satchel has been on constant repeat lately since it's so versatile. It's structured shape is great for the office. It's not too big so I've worn it out for dinner and drinks. It's also not to small so it makes a great bag to carry daytime. I found several other options from Kate Spade's Kingston collection that you can shop below!
