Best Winter Drugstore Beauty Buys

Three Heel Clicks - Best Winter Drugstore Beauty Buys .jpg

I am ALWAYS on the hunt for new products ranging from high quality to drugstore buys. Although I look to Sephora time and time again for products, sometimes I just can’t make it there and end up picking up a few things at a drugstore. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite winter buys right now. All of these are items I’ve been using for at least a month and am extremely satisfied with. (None of this content is sponsored - just tried and true!)

Skincare

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser: This is a dermatologist recommended product and I’ve used it on and off for years. It’s so gentle! If your skins to be on the dry side it works great at removing makeup and grime without stripping your face of natural oils. It comes in trial size if you are on the go and a full size bottle lasts for a few months.

Olay Regenerist Facial Moisturizer: Winter takes such a toil on your skin and this night cream is heavenly. I slather it on my face and neck each night and awaken with soft supple skin.

Noxema Clear Ultimate Anti-Blemish Cleansing Pads: These have been discussed in the past (see this post) but they have made a huge difference in breakouts. You can use them as a spot treatment or more like a toner. Start by using every day or every other day and then build up to more frequently if you need to. I now use them only if I am getting breakouts but to get my skin under control last year I was swiping a pad over my face at least every morning. If you are in a hurry and don’t have time to wash, you can also use these before applying make up.

Makeup

Covergirl Melting Pout CoverGirl Melting Pout Matte Liquid Lipstick in Coral Chronicles: Talk about a game changer! I’ve loved many lip products and this one stands the test. It’s a matte neutral and doesn’t turn orange or bright pink when applied (many lipsticks are not true to color on my skin because I have so much pigment in my lips).

L’oreal Voluminous Lash Primer: I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am that L’Oreal finally put this in a full size product. Years ago I used this when it was party of a mascara duo. But now that it’s full size I can easily use with ANY mascara. It keeps my lashes looking fuller and also keeps my mascara lasting longer throughout the day. Finally, it makes it easier for it to come off at the end of the day.

L’oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise: For all of my sensitive eye people, this mascara does NOT irritate my eyes or make them itch. It’s formula and wand lengthen and add fullness to my lashes with a touch of glam. I also really love that it doesn’t clump after a few coats.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation: I’ve been using the FIT line for a while now and the liquid foundation goes on really smoothly and lightly. It doesn’t even feel like I have much on my face. I usually use a BareMinerals Matte Loose Powder Foundation on top to set it or their Mineral Veil, but it can be worn alone as well. This liquid foundation also comes in a dewy finish and finally they make a great concealer as well!

As we enter into the holiday season I hope you find these products helpful. I am always looking for new recommendations and would love if you tweeted or DM me on Instagram your favorite products!
