Jumpsuits Under $50
I rarely wear jumpsuits due to the fact that as a petite they are a little difficult to find a proper fitting one. Well, I’m in Wal-mart last week and low and behold there is an extra small in my size as I skirt through the store trying to pick up a few household items. It was on sale for $11 so immediately I decided it was worth taking a chance. I was really glad I did! After adding a moto jacket and pair of nude pointy heels it took on a whole new level of sophistication.
Today’s post includes a variety of jumpsuits all under $50 you can find online! Although I still pick up a items when out shopping, it’s nice to have the options of buying from the comfort of your laptop, couch and sweat pants. Jumpsuits are an empowering piece of clothing. Whenever I put one on I immediately exude confidence. The are the best of both dresses and pants. You can select a single item for a quick outfits as you would with a dress but they give you the ease of movement that comes with wearing a pair of pants. I have found lately I’m reaching more and more for these easy to wear one piece items. Just as I have worked on simplifying my life, I am editing my style more and more to only keeping the items I truly love.
If you decided to go with a bolder jumpsuit with stripes, keep your accessories minimal and neutral. Let the jumpsuit take center stage. After all, they are pretty showstopping. This is especially true or petite ladies. Too much going on in an outfit makes us look like we are wearing a costume and playing dress up. Look for vertical stripes and for the jumpsuit to hit at a narrow point on the leg. If they don’t hit you in the right spot consider getting it hemmed (or learning how to easily do this one yourself) or shop the petites. This jumpsuit from Express is on sale for half off and comes in petites! If you can’t find a jumpsuit that’s cropped in the right places then consider wearing a longer version and let a pair of espadrilles or pointy pumps peek out to lengthen your leg. Another tip is to make sure you have it hug your waist to create a fitted look and hourglass figure. Such a simple trick but we need all the inches we can being on the shorter side of life.
Three must have accessories for Spring include a suede moto jacket, nude pumps the same shade as your legs and a bow embellished purse big enough to carry all of your daytime necessities. I’ve had this moto jacket for three years and wear it constantly during the cooler months or layered during really cold days. Look for a piece with special details like rose gold hardware. It makes an item look so much higher quality and unique. I really love finding pieces in softer colors like this pale blue one or this blush version under $30. As far as pumps are concerned, make sure they are walkable. I really love brands like Michael Kors, Guess, and Marc Fisher. They come in great price points, easy to find and last!
