An Afternoon Tea Party With Laura Ashley at The Stella
Dress: Amazon / Shoes: Sarah Flint / Earrings: Park Lane Jewelry / Glasses: Guess
Wow! What a weekend! After taking this last year to really ground me and work on transformation from the inside, I finally made it out for the Laura Ashley 70th Anniversary Event with Growing Up Texas! It was so incredible to meet so many local influencers, business owners, and guests. The event was hosted at one of my favorite local hotels, The Stella and catered by Campfire. The whole experience was out of a storybook and unfolded beautifully as we mixed and mingled on Saturday afternoon.
The Laura Ashley Grand Station Jeep Wagoneer was the center focal point and inspiration for the event. Jennifer from Growing Up Texas and Michael from The Gentleman Racer designed and shared it with Laura Ashley to obtain the prints for this beautiful vehicle. The entire vehicle is custom designed and outfitted in Laura Ashley fabric. It was a dream project that became a real life product and was a huge inspiration! Thank you guys for bringing this vision into existence. I felt so empowered after leaving the event to continue down the path of my own dreams.
I wore this adorable off the shoulder puff sleeved dress but was in search just days before to grab a new piece from the Laura Ashley x Lucky Brand collaboration. I love this adorable top and this dress. Each piece is incredible with such attention to detail. Laura Ashley was one of my favorite childhood brands. I longed to have one of their beautiful floral printed dresses when I was a youngster so it was like bringing a dream to life to get invited to this event!
A few local vendors were also there including Brazos Brim Hat Bar where you can build your own hat! Kym the owner let me know about their store on the south side of College Station where you can even get them engraved and etched! I’ll be sharing more about them soon but if you are in the BCS area for TAMU graduation weekend you’ll want to check the store out! I also met Lexi and Lauren from the Beaded Blondes who are two sweet sisters who design the most beautiful 14k gold-filled jewelry perfect for any occasion. Each piece is handmade and perfect for layering. You can check out their store here!
The food was incredible as we devoured Moonstruck Patries and Coffee at the dessert van. I had croque en bouche and a slice of the cake you see in the picture below! Campfire, a local favorite of mine and award-winning, served up a traditional English tea-style spread. We had cucumber tea sandwiches, hors' oeuvres gallor, and scones! It was mouthwatering and I ate like a true Queen for the afternoon. You can check out the entire vlog of the event on YouTube here with lots of details! Big thank you to all who hosted the event!
