Plaid Miniskirt
Lately I've been on a crazy plaid kick. Yep, can't get enough. There's more coming. I just love it! And even though it's still really warm, I'm determined to work "Fall" into my closet. Complete with boots and plaid until the temperatures catch up with my enthusiasm for the season. I don't know what it is about Fall that gets me so excited. Maybe it's all the golden shades of leaves or the shorter days... but I love it. By the end of every Summer, I ache for Fall.
Also, I've had a little bit of a country feel to a few of my outfits lately. I like the way the chambray top today mixes with a pair of riding boots. Boots are really practical in Texas. Although it's hot sometimes, so much of our outdoor activities really require a shoe that can weather fields, festivals and hikes. My riding boots seem to do the trick. I bought these two years ago and have worn them countless times. I linked a few below if you are in the market and found some starting at $75. They work perfectly with skinny jeans or skirts.
A simple plaid miniskirt is another shape I'm loving right now. I have a couple of them and can't wait to pair them with an oversized sweater or with a blazer. The look nice with loafers, ballet flats or can be dressed up with a pair of pumps. I also like the way it looks with over the knee boots or peaking underneath a longer coat. Still a perfect item for Fall and into the Winter with a good pair of tights.
