I pulled together a few last minute holiday looks in yesterdays post here if you missed it, but thought I'd share another holiday inspired casual outfit. Today's outfit is a quick post with my favorite hunter boots, a simple puffy vest layered over a red and white striped tee. I've worn this top countless times (see here, here and here) over the past year. I also have it in navy (see here). When you find something you like, buy it in two colors. You'll thank yourself later on. If it works, it just works.
This outfit is perfect if you are trotting around in a cooler climate or doing something outdoorsy. If you are going to be somewhere muddy, you probably would want to switch out the white jeans for something that can withstand a more rugged climate. You can also layer sweater socks underneath over your jeans for additional warmth if you are somewhere with snow. The best part about rain boots is that they are weatherproof for snow, mud and anything wet!
