Rose Gold Sequins
Dress: LC Lauren Conrad Runway // Coat: Elle // Scarf: Gap // Shoes: Guess
I’ll be spending New Year’s Eve with my family, but wanted to share a little more inspiration before the weekend gets here. I picked this dress up at the end of the season last year and planned on wearing it to the next fancy event I would attend (birthday, party, NYE, etc). I ended up getting to sport it to seeing Houston Ballet’s The Nutcracker over the holidays. I thought it would be perfect to share with you guys for a NYE party inspired post. Whether you are attending a performance (concert, theatre, opera, ballet) or attending a festivity – an all sequin dress in rose gold really is something to write home about.
Since the dress was such a loud piece, I decided to tone it down with a cream coat and simple ruffle sweater. Cream and copper rose gold work really nicely together for a softer color combination. It’s nice to balance the sparkles with a cozy fabric like this wool coat that will still keep you warm on a chilly evening. Both the coat and dress were bought at Kohl’s during previous seasons, but I linked several dresses below that are similar.
I paired the dress with simple gold earrings, a ring and added strappy gold sandals. Sometimes it’s nice not to overpower your frame with tons of accessories. The dress in itself takes center stage and really lets you sparkle (haha, no pun intended). I’m going to share a few beauty and hair tips tomorrow on the blog, so check back for more tips. Also, if you missed yesterday’s post with this black sequin skirt you can check it out here.
