Plants n' Petals

Dress: Sweet Pea Boutique (similar here and here) // Bag: Ted Baker (smaller version here) // Shoes: Unisa (flat ones here) // Sunnies: Jessica Simpson

Isn't this just the cutest building? I couldn't help myself the other day when I was headed to the Sugar & Cloth Color Wall. I saw this little guy and made a quick stop in EADO. The pink chandelier just really pops against the industrial background. I'm constantly looking for new places to visit in Houston. We have so much to do here, sometimes I like to play tourist and stop at Chinatown or head over to the coastal parts of the area.

I love accessories that have simple feminine details like this dress with the bow on the shoulder. I picked it up at one of my favorite boutiques in New Orleans. I love to boutique shop! You can find the most charming pieces and they are usually one of a kind. The key is to look for things in colors and shapes that fit your body. This dress has a fitted silhouette without being too tight, and the asymmetrical neckline makes it just bare enough.

I added my favorite pink handbag and some simple nude pumps with a bow detail. Although all three pieces have a bow on them, they are still modern and streamline instead of over-the-top frilly. Also, to keep the outfit from being overly formal - I wore my hair in loose natural waves. Lately, to achieve this look I've added this Wave Creation Sea Foam. I like that my hair isn't too sticky or crunchy looking. The foam gives just enough texture without the frizz. When I wear something fancy, I try to dress down my hair by wearing it natural or pulling into a loose braid (see here and here). I like to think of my hair as an extension of my outfit!
