Dress: Vintage (similar here - under $25 and here) // Hat: San Diego Hat Company (also like this one) // Bag: Betsey Johnson (loving this Kate Spade version) // Sandals: Madden Girl

Wow! I can't believe it's halfway through April. This year is flying by and I am having such a great time being a part of it. I spent some time this weekend getting sun and being outdoors. It's nice to relax with good friends and nature. I being constantly on the move, but I really try to fit in some relaxation and rest in during that time.

I am working on a few travel guides since I've been on the go for a few weeks now. Actually, I've spent the entire past month visiting family and friends. Sometimes it's nice to spend time at home, and sometimes it's nice to just get a move on things. I'll just shared a Guide to the Texas Countryside here and where to spot a few fields of bluebonnets. I'll be posting a new guide to San Marcos, TX soon - so stay tuned for updates

But for today, I decided to share a outfit I shot a few weeks ago. I love wearing dresses so much! I find that they are the easiest outfits for me to put together. I wore this red dress on Good Friday as I spent the day off from work and enjoying the Springtime weather. Although a lot of my color palette resides in the pastel realm, I do like to add a pop or red from time to time. I posted a few red themed outfits here, here and here.

This dress is no different. I added a pair of lace up sandals and my new gardening hat with a bow. I have to say, up until a few years ago I never was much of a hat person. But lately, it's all I seem to want to put on. I think when it works, it just works and finding hats that fit your face frame really make a difference on whether you want to wear them or they just get tossed aside.
