Full Bloom

I think I'm addicted in life to three things: shoes (what woman isn't?), coffee, and flowers. I love flowers. They are probably the thing I take more pictures of than anything. Why? Because no matter how rough a day has been, a flower can bring joy across my face. There's something about their exquisite perfection that just makes me so happy. Maybe it's because I've been paying more attention, but Houston is flourishing this time of year with so many beautiful flowers. From the purple dogwood and pink azaleas in March to the bright sunflowers I snapped last weekend - the city is in full bloom right now.
Houston is know for many things to include traffic, oil and gas and lots of concrete. I've lived here now for 7 years and realized that I love so many things about the city. We have a booming art area inside the loop, trails of hiking and biking along the Bayou, and many areas just outside of the city with different feels. And, it's such a melting pot! If I want to go to Chinatown, I can. There are entire streets in chinese here! If I'm looking for authentic Indian or Lebanese food - I can easily find places to shop and eat. I've blogged about some of the yummy coffee shops full of hipsters and things to do outside over the past year.
Now that the rainstorms have finally passed, it's starting to get warmer. I love this little lacey number (very similar here, here, and here) I wore back in January here, but moved it into Spring by adding a crisp white cardigan and some simple white pumps. It's a fresh look for work, a date or even just an evening with the girls.
