Little Red Dress

Dress: MaxChic (really love this one) // Shoes: Nine West (many options similar below) // Tote and Hat: Target // Lipstick: Mac // Nails: Essie

Been on another red kick lately. It started last Fall when I picked up this bag for my birthday and hasn't stopped. Cherry red is my favorite shade out of all of them. I like the bright hue and depth of the color. Wearing doesn't have to be really fancy, you can dress it up or down with your accessories like I did in this post. I wore a pair of two-toned loafers and a boater hat to give an otherwise fancy lace dress a more relaxed feel.

Two Tone Shoes

Two toned shoes are great flat to add to your wardrobe. I really love the cap toe version of these in black and white. They were purchased a few seasons ago but found some other items similar to shop.

Today I used a smaller curling wand to achieve ringlets. I highly recommend using Remington's curling wands. They are less than $40 and hold my curls all day. I also used this mousse to keep everything in place. I've found that with the humid weather here in Houston, mousse and a little hair oil goes a long way to keeping my curls in place and not frizzy. All of these items can be found at Target and Walgreens if you are looking to grab something quickly. I also really love this shampoo and conditioner. It's smoothing and leaves my hair smelling heavenly.

Boater Hat

The classic boater hat has been around since the days of Prohibition. It flatters most face shapes and transitions from season to season. I prefer one with a wide brim to keep the sun off my face.
