On the Terrace

Top: LC Lauren Conrad (similar) // Skirt: Old Navy (almost identical) // Purse: Coach // Sandals: Target

A big part of my background is architecture. I grew up with the luxury of traveling the world as a child being an military brat, and seeing places that others may save up a lifetime to see. Some of my favorite styles of architecture include Mediterranean, provincial french and american colony. I found this little courtyard recently and it reminded me of a place in Europe. So much of European architecture is in a symmetrical or radial layout. Here this fountain acts as a center focal point with archways wrapping around the rectangular terrace.

Gingham Skirt

I pulled out this gingham skirt from last summer (worn with in this post) and a peter pan collar sleeveless top with bow details. I love the sheer lightweight fabric. I added a pair of simple black sandals and that same yellow I've been wearing on repeat lately. Although I do feature a lot of new items here on the blog, I try to incorporate things I've worn previously to give you guys new looks.

Gingham Looks

Since gingham is probably my favorite print and I've posted so much on the blog about it, I thought I'd round up a few looks if you'd like to browse. From dresses, shorts, shirts and rompers... I love it! It's slightly southern and sweet at the same time. I'm on the hunt for a pair of gingham flats to go with! This pair, this pair and this pair on my radar right now. Do you guys find you are attracted to certain prints? Are you a floral person? What about stripes?
