Fall Boots and a Classic Trench Coat

As the holidays begin to approach I am finding I reach for dressier wardrobe elements. I think it’s the influence of a surplus of sequins and glitter but throwing my sneakers on is the least appealing way to go these days. Before I start piling on the poinsettia and jingle bell accessories I’m going to start us off on the right foot and share a few classic pieces. When you have a great foundation in your closet, you can easily mix and match timeless styles to get the most of your wardrobe!
No matter how adorable a pair of shoes are I simply do not wear them if they are uncomfortable. Look no further than these adorable white booties. They have a mid height heel and padding inside. I’ve found I can wear them for several hours and on long walks without killing my legs. I also found that even though they are pointy they have plenty of room in the toe and do not pinch! For all of my gals out there that are on the petite side YOU CAN wear them with a skirt without looking like you have tree stumps for legs. Try pairing them with a fit and flare style dress or skirt to look polished instead of frumpy!
This outfit would be perfect for so many occasions and it’s definitely modest enough for the office. I also would take this one on a trip to a milder Fall/Winter climate. If you are heading to a colder climate you would need more layers and possibly boots. I highly recommend finding a few pairs of tights so you can easily add if it’s cool that day. A classic trench coat is the most versatile a coat can get. It layers over sweaters and puffy vests on rainy days. It also look fantastic with jeans or dresses. I love this one that’s still in stock from the British company Everlane. I’ve invested in a few of their items and the construction is unreal!

There’s something special about transitioning out of sundresses and shorts to more structured pieces like this black and white high neck maxi dress or this beautiful square neck black satin bow detailed dress. Both of these beauties are from CupShe and I’m loving what they are offering right now.
