The Perfect Casual Weekend Outfit
I'm all about dresses all year long but being up in the mountains has required a little bit of a shift! I've been reaching more and more for jeans and hoodies and less for heels for good reason. I put together what I would call the perfect casual weekend outfit for today's post. It's the kind of outfit you can easily roll out of bed, throw on and head out of the door in five minutes. With kiddo sports events, weekend activities or just hanging outside this outfit meets all of the criteria for cozy, comfy and chic.
Overalls are a must have for Fall and Spring in my book. I usually do not wear them in the soaring temperatures of mid-summer but for the rest of the year they remain on repeat. I am loving all of the styles out this year like this pair of relaxed boyfriend jeans. They are so cute but if you are looking for something sleeker then opt for skinny jeans. Plus, a skinny jean leg will tuck into boots nicely when it's time to pull out those guys!
A simple striped top is also a mainstay. I love the soft blush color in this one and plan on wearing over and over this Fall season. If pink isn't your color try a tan or olive green one. It will pair nicely under a blazer for a dressy day or with yoga pants and a hoodie to lounge around the house in.
What kind of weekend would it be if you have to fix your hair? A baseball cap is my go to on a bad or lazy hair day. Look for one in a cozy texture like corduroy or tweed for a little extra something. I actually prefer lighter colors on baseball caps so they hide sweat stains.
For shoes and bags I opt for my Sperry top-siders. They are waterproof, dirt proof and great for walking! I've hiked many places in these babies! I try to always grab my canvas backpack now. It's been so useful being up here in the mountains and keeps everything organized with its many pockets! What's your go to outfit for the weekend? Any special pieces you wear time and time again?

I don’t know about you but I’ve had to get a little creative on how I manage dressing for working from home while maintaining a professional appearance on ZOOM calls. I’ve been in the corporate space for over a decade and required to wear business professional for meetings.
