Striped Swimsuit

Swimsuit: Bond-eye // Hat and Espadrilles: Target // Sunnies: Circus by Sam Edelman // Tote: Ban.do // Dress: JCrew

I love that it's already swim suit season. Although the water was chilly itself this weekend, it didn't stop me from catching some much needed rays. I've been all about taking extra time lately to make sure I get enough rest and relaxation in on the weekends. My daughter and I spent a few hours on Saturday afternoon soaking up the beautiful weather - wearing sunscreen, of course.

Lately I've been switching up my swim suit game. I really like this hipster style because it's a two - piece with a little extra coverage. One of the things I look for now in swimwear is a supportive top (without sounding like a grandma) and bottoms that don't slide around when I move. Once you have kids, it's a little different in your poolside activities. Usually when I go to the pool, I am throwing a ball around or playing games. Having a swimsuit that covers enough skin, but still gets a little sun on my belly is my idea of a perfect swimsuit.

As much as I love a good swimsuit, I really love a good cover-up and white linen is one of my favorite materials. It's breathable and classic. I picked this one up years ago at JCrew, but you can find similar options here and here.

Finally, a cute tote is a always a good idea. Ban.do has some of the best items for a whimsical touch and who can beat their price points? This shopper was only $10 and my favorite part is the size, I can easily fit snacks, books, a journal, sunscreen and two beach towels.
