Floral Spring Dress

My current uniform includes sundresses and hats. I think it’s so easy to grab these things and go for the weekends. Our days have been warm and sunny here in Houston over the past few weeks. I’m taking advantage by pulling out all of my favorite spring items like this boater and my sandals. Don’t get me wrong, I was so ready for Fall and Winter to finally come late last year – but now it’s time for flowers to bloom and clear blue skies.
One of the things I’ve been working on lately is finding pretty spots around Houston. This picture was actually taken at Whole Foods Market which is one of the greatest places to find good quality produce, foods and other healthy items. I try to stop by when I’m in the area. I really love that they carry this tea which I swear by for clear skin.
Did you know Whole Foods is an Austin, TX headquartered company? Austin is one of my favorite cities in America. It has such an art centered vibe and there is good music playing live all over the city. Speaking of music, South by Southwest is coming up soon. I’ve thought about going over the past years, but somehow haven’t checked it off my to do list. However, I’ve been to Austin City Limits taking place in the Fall. It’s a always a fun weekend!
I get so excited about local festivals. One of my favorite festivals happens every May. My family loves to go to our local Greek Festival held at an Orthodox Church in the Energy Corridor. It’s mid-May and serves great food, has tables of items and traditional music. Definitely a fun time if you are in the area later on in the season.
