Rose Garden

Dress: Old Navy (romper version here) // Flats: Target // Sunnies: Similar here.

A few weekends ago I set out to find a Japanese garden and I stumbled upon one of the prettiest rose gardens. The weather was absolutely beautiful and there were all kinds of people walking around enjoying the scenery. My favorite thing about Houston is that there is so many different things to do. Within an hour I can be at the beach or hiking in the woods.

I wore the sweetest gingham dress for the day and matched it with a pair of pink acetate sunnies. I've really been into wearing different styles of sunnies lately (see here, here and here). My eyes are extremely sensitive to light and I find if I don't wear them I tend to get really bad headaches.

Gingham is one of my favorite prints. There is something slightly sweet about the print. I especially love this navy and white one  I'm wearing here. I almost picked up this romper the other day, but settled on a sundress (here is one just like it) instead. A sundress is one of my favorite things to wear in the summer, especially one that's lightweight and cotton.

I also decided to mix a few prints and added a pair of simple striped flats. I wore these last on the blog here with a blush colored shirt dress, and decided for today to mix it up by adding the gingham dress. Prints can work well together if they are done in the same color scheme. I opted for simple navy and white to keep the outfit classic.
