Home: Southern Front Porch

Top: Who What Wear (similar here) // Jeans: Celebrity Pink  // Hat: Target // Shoes: Carlos by Carlos Santana

I dream of one day owning a home with a huge wrap around front porch. Some of my favorite memories as a kid was visiting my grandparents in Birmingham, Al during the summer months. They would sit on the porch for hours playing Gin Rummy and watching fireflies. The summer breeze would blow in and we would laugh and talk and just be around each others company. Those were some of my sweetest memories and I long to recreate them with my own grandchildren later in life.

I imagine I would have a swing and wicker chairs just like the porch at Victory Rose Bed & Breakfast. You can view the other posts I've done here, here and here on this charming home. The painted wood floors and ceiling give this porch such a light and airy feel.

A great way to add a sweet touch to a front porch is to paint the ceiling a soft pastel like blue or lavander. When you are choosing furniture for a wrap around porch adding smaller conversational areas can break up the size of space.

I wore a lightweight top from Who What Wear's collection (here's another version of this top) with a pair of deconstructed jeans. I like the way the top is really feminine mixed with the simple boater hat.
