Pink Peplum

Top: Anthropologie (similar here and here) // Jeans: SoCal // Sandals: LC Lauren Conrad // Bag: Ted Baker (newer version here) // Sunnies: Kenneth Jay Lane (another pair here)

I love the look of crisp white jeans. The are one of the most versatile pieces I own - from wearing them with bright red rain boots, to simple ballet flats or loafers - they are easy to mix and match with other items I have. Today's look was all about mixing a soft pinks to create a simple summer outfit. A peplum top is so flattering with jeans and this one is made of the lightest weight cotton.

When I first found this pink satchel, I really had no idea how much it would end up being incorporated into every day. Of course, I wanted it because of it's soft powder pink hue, but as I reach for anything pastel oriented in the way of clothing, I seem to also gravitate to add this satchel. It worked perfectly with the top and white jeans.

Pink takes on so many different personalities. From, soft blushy shades to bold pinks - they all have a different look and feel. If you aren't really a pink person, I challenge you to think about what shade of pink you aren't into and then explores some of the others. The color works so nicely with so many skin tones and can be really versatile. It can look romantic or take on a much edgier feel depending the shade, shape of the cut and the way you put an outfit together.
