Last weekend my Dad and I visited a local bookstore in Downtown Historic Bryan. Ed's Bookstore is a collection of antique books both historical and fictional. I've been an avid reader most of my life and spending the afternoon in a bookstore is my idea of a great time. I love running my fingertips along the spines or opening the pages to see the print jump out word after word. After spending a good half hour looking, I settled on a The Romance of a Young Poor Man, which ended up being french literature written in 1902. The book had a gold Eiffel tower on the front and gilt pages.
I've mentioned for my love of all things french before on the blog. I don't know exactly why I've been drawn to their culture, but it's been there most of my life. I recently attended a ballet class to revive some of my old exercise habits and plan on spending the next few months brushing up on my skills in that department.
My love for French things includes prints like toile. This dress has a similar resemblance to that print. I paired it with a simple red handkerchief and my red purse for a comfortable weekend outfit. I love how relaxed I felt in this outfit. Although I always try to look put together, so much of what I wear is comfortable too. What's the point if you aren't able to move at ease in your clothes? On the weekends, I usually wear rompers, stretchy jeans, cutoffs or simple tunic dresses like this one.
