Classic Winter Staples

I quickly shot these heading out for final Christmas travel preparations. As I’ve been in major packing chaos I managed to squeeze in highlighting my hair last night and a quick manicure this morning. Much needed! I’ve been laying out things to bring on my upcoming two trips and two items kept being pulled out: sweaters and jeans. Not just any sweater or pair of jeans though - COMFY ones. I immediately reached for a striped sweater and my favorite Old Navy distressed jeans for today’s look. Winter can be a little bleak so wearing fun classic stripe sweaters are a good way to break out of the winter blues. I grabbed this one last year from Gap but rounded up a few other ones I’m eyeing below for you all. Stripes are classic and so is red, white and blue. You don’t have to think much about this outfit, just throw it on and go.

Next up are jeans. While I’ve never been a jeans and tee girl but more of a dress person I find myself reaching for them more often when the weather is cold. I think my favorite pairs come from one of two brands: 7 For All Mankind and Old Navy. If you are willing to shell out $200 for a pair of jeans, 7FAM are the way to go. They have soft denim and the cut fits like a glove. I’ve had a wide legged pair in my closet for over a decade and they still hold their shape! My second favorite place to get jeans includes Old Navy. They last, are stretchy, come in a variety of sizes and have a great price point. In fact, the style I’m wearing today is on sale for $20! You can’t beat that!
