Fire Red
Some nights have to be documented. Last week my daughter made all A’s on her first middle school report card and I couldn’t be happier for her! I believe moments like this should be celebrated and so off we went to dinner for a special treat. Golden hour was exquisite so we stopped on the way to grab a few photographs. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of working with photographers, friends, and family to help me take photographs on the blog but my favorite person to work with is my kiddo. She’s developed such a skill set through time and these are some of her best work! I believe if you put in hard work and focus time and time again you’ll find that skill is built over time. Whether it’s good grades, or it’s a series of photographs, repetition increases the ability to get it right.

We ended up eating the most delicious meals at Ronin’s Farm to Table Restaurant in Historic Downtown Bryan. This family-owned business has two locations to include where you can reserve tables on their farm or their restaurant location in the heart of Bryan, TX. All of their food is sourced carefully and in-season based on what they harvested during that week. We began with the charcuterie board filled with fresh sheep, goat, and cheddar cheeses alongside candied nuts and pickled items from the garden. Following our appetizer, we had the most delicious scallops on a bed of vegetables and my daughter ordered their classic chicken fried steak. Finishing everything off with dessert and coffee. They made me a delicious lavender and honey oat-milk latte. My daughter chose the cantaloupe ice cream which is non-dairy and I had the banana bread pudding. The atmosphere, service, and quality made a delicious and slow dining experience perfect for a special occasion.
I chose to wear the prettiest fire red dress with a feminine bow back. The dress is another amazing Amazon find and under $40. It comes in a variety of colors but red was my first choice with the holiday season approaching. I plan to re-wear for Christmas parties and into Valentine’s Day.
