Love Wall
Dress: Urban Outfitters (similar here) // Tote: Mud Pie (love this one) // Shoes: LC Lauren Conrad // Hat: Target
One of the best parts of blogging is finding new places. I feel so lucky to be able to afford time in exploring and when I stumbled upon this newly painted wall, I couldn't help but jump at the chance to photograph it. The Heights will forever be a special place for me since it was the first location in Houston I lived at. It was really the first part of the city I explored and fell in love with. From the quaint coffee shops to the little boutiques, I knew when I left Austin to come the big city life - the Heights would be home base for me.
Although I no longer live in that part of the city, I do go by regularly to spend a lovely Saturday afternoon. This dress is a great fit for strolling around on a weekend. I picked it up at Urban Outfitters and it has remained true to being a great throw over my swimsuit and trot around sort of number. It has the most colorful embroidery and just enough of a ruffle to keep it flirty.
I added my favorite scalloped nude flats, a boater and huge tote that I picked up at the Texas Bluebonnet Festival a few weeks ago. When I travel outside of my neighborhood, I always carry a larger bag. I oftentimes stop at local farmer's markets (see here and here), and a tote like this is perfect for such occasions.
