Color Wall
Top: Merge Boutique (similar here) // Jeans: Jessica Simpson Collection // Shoes: LC Lauren Conrad // Bag: BCBGMaxAzria (love this one and this one)
This outfit is my idea of an easy Sunday afternoon. Lately, I've really been digging a monochromatic or pastel color scheme. I used to wear every bright color under the sun - but things have shifted for me. I really love the softer tones of blush, pink, peach and cream. I wore this shirt last Fall (here and here) when I picked it up at a little boutique in College Station called Merge Boutique. I love to boutique shop and as soon as I saw this little cute top, I knew I would get a lot of mileage out of it. Although it's one of a kind, I found a few good contenders here, here and here.
I decided to pair my newest addition peachy jeans with it to give it a laid back summery feel. Since I was going to be doing a little walking around San Marcos, TX - a pair of chunky heels made my sandals bearable. I try to pack in a color palette or capsule to allow everything to work seamlessly. If you check out my Instagram feed (here, here and here) are a few ideas of what I packed.
Pastel jeans are more of a neutral than you would think. I wore them with soft pastels for an outdoor walk a few weeks ago here when the temperatures dropped to an utterly cold 45 degrees, but they transition great from Winter/Spring to Spring/Summer. I plan on wearing them with a cute navy and white top and my favorite navy and white flats.
