Summer Sunrise
Dress: Old Navy (sold out, but similar here) // Shoes: Report // Bag: Michael Kors
Getting up early on the weekends to enjoy the sunrise is something I make a point to do. I believe that people get too busy on a daily basis. They rush from one thing to the next and do not take the time to enjoy the simpler things in life. Having a cup of coffee while the sun comes up and getting the chance to just reflect and enjoy the beautiful colors smeared across the sky gives me a chance to see the bigger picture in life.
I strive to create all sorts of different atmospheres. I think that it's really easy to grab a blanket and a thermos to really enjoy a full hour outdoors. I stretched out this morning on a round table cloth I picked up a few weeks ago when I was planning a trip to the beach. Picnic table cloths are perfect for laying on sad, grass, or even if you want to dine outdoors for a picnic. Look for one that has a coating that makes it easy to wipe down. It's funny, it really doesn't take much to set up a good scene (if you missed how I set up a yummy fruit and cheese spread at the pool - check out this post!)
I am currently planning out some camping stuff for the Fall. I love being outdoors, and am looking forward to setting up a cozy weekend. I haven't been fishing in a really long time and have had it on my mind when the temperatures drop. If you think a little ahead, it's pretty easy to come up with a good set up for little time/cost. Just get creative and enjoy the process of it all.
I wore this soft linen dress with cascading ruffle sleeves. This would be a great coverup to throw over a swimsuit to go to dinner or belted with a pair of skinny white jeans. I also really like the bright punchy coral color and it's really breathable for the hot temperatures.
