Weekend Casual

So happy for the weekend! This was a very full week for me. I usually have a day or two to be at home all day, but this week was not like that at all! Last night my daughter and I went to see the moonGarden exhibit at Discovery Green in downtown Houston. The exhibit is free and will continue through the weekend! We had such a blast and it was so interesting to see the giant globes change colors. We wore color coordinating pajamas since it was a pajama party and she was served milk and cookies. Now that Summer is over, I’m usually on the lookout for everything festival and event related. I’ll try to keep you guys updated when I come across interesting events.

I pulled out this blue and white striped top I’ve had for two years now. I love it’s cut. Originally it was picked up at HM, but I linked a few really similar ones below. Whenever I look for a button up I always want one a little longer so I can either tie it in front or tuck in. Today I just wore it relaxed and loose. I’ve recently been into much more casual outfits and picked up these blush suede sneakers a few months back. Let me tell you, they have not given me any blisters! Also, even after getting damp from walking through dewy grass as soon as they dry you had no idea water touched them. I highly recommend!

This outfit is basically my Saturday uniform if I choose to change out of pajamas. It’s relaxed without looking slopping and the jeans are really comfortable. I picked them up last year, but Old Navy has other colors in stock like this mint and this pair of powder pink. Over the years most of my casual pants/jeans have been from Old Navy. They make such good quality and a variety of fits depending on your body type. Hope you all are having a great weekend so far!
