Spring Statement Bags That Will Make You Swoon

With the changing of the seasons I always reach for a new bag or two to freshen up my wardrobe. I’ll be honest, although I have many pairs of shoes I’m not one to spend more than $100 on a pair. I have a similar motto with bags. I usually stick to $500 or below and oftentimes more in the $150-250 price range. I am messy. If I buy a new bag coffee or makeup will eventually make their way into the bottom. With that being said I am not a fan of investing into high end luxury brands since I put a lot of wear and tear on items. I’d rather spend in the mid-range so I still get quality but can enjoy wearing a purse instead of worrying I’ll tear or stain it.

Recently, I received this beautiful patchwork leather bag (it’s on sale here for under $160!) as a gift from my other half. I usually stick to buying bags in solids but this one worked perfectly with all of the navy and denim items I own. Today I pair it with skinny jeans and a navy blouse for an adorable date night look. This also works for a happy hour or night out with the girls. I added my favorite pair of block heel sandals back in stock and on sale for $40!

I also really like how this particular bag turns into a clutch by removing the cross body strap. It’s the perfect size for a night out and can store keys, phone, small wallet, compact, mascara and lipstick. I wrote recently about Two Spring Accessories You Need Now and included a round up of straw bags. Straw bags are another Spring handbag staple.

I wore this to dinner when we were in Birmingham, Alabama last weekend. We went to a delicious restaurant that you can watch on my stories under “Birimingham” on Instagram called Perfect Note. It’s a live jazz and blues club, cocktail bar, and really delicious Southern inspired food. They are centrally located in the city by the Galleria Mall and are locally owned. The music was fantastic! The food was so delicious! Finally, the owners couldn’t have been more hospitable or kind. I highly recommend visiting them!

What are some places you’ve found in the Birmingham area? Or your current home town?
