I awoke this morning and the air was crisp and chilly. It felt so good to step onto my patio and feel a cool breeze sweep through. Texas is oftentimes cold in the morning and then warms up in the afternoons. For both Spring and Fall I like to layer jackets over tee shirts and tank tops so I can remove during the warm parts of the day. Three of my favorite pieces for Fall are included in today’s outfit - a simple neutral blazer, a pair of loafers and mom jeans. These pieces can be worn separately or together for the perfect fall outfit.

Tan Blazers to Layer

This blazer came from my mom’s closet but this one is almost identical. I love grabbing timeless pieces like this one that spans across decades. Investing in a classic blazer is never a waste of money since you will be able it for years to come. You can pair over a sweater dress, long skirt with boots and jeans. For warm days I like to wear a basic black t-shirt or camisole. On cool days I like to layer underneath a sweater or turtleneck. Blazers always make me feel really put together and they are the perfect compliment to almost any Fall outfit.

Perfect Fit Mom Jeans

Updated mom jeans are what I reach for whether I’m sitting down at my desk or out for a weekend afternoon at the park. Finding a pair that fits your body type is key to looking slouchy and comfy instead of frumpy. Last Fall I grabbed this pair and I have to say I absolutely love them. Also, this pair which is on sale right now for $54 and available in several sizes. The wash is perfect and they are comfortable as you wear them all day long. I’ve paired them with everything from heels and a pretty feminine top to comfy worn in tees. They are so versatile and more importantly very comfortable.

Neutral Loafers for Work and Play

Tan loafers are also a piece I like to bring out for Fall. I’ve rounded up a few neutral pairs ranging from under $20 - $200. These are cute with wrap dresses instead of ballet flats, cropped or skinny jeans and then also sweater dresses. I love how this pair lengthens the leg and has a rich warm caramel leather. I recommend opting for pairs that are made of high quality genuine suede or leather so they will last over the years.

Finally, I like adding a few jewelry pieces like gold hoops or a tortoise statement bracelet. A simple crossbody quilted bag is also a timeless accessory and with gold hardware it transitions beautifully into the holiday season. What’s your favorite pieces for Fall? I’d love to hear from you!
