Peach Jeans

Sweater: LC Lauren Conrad // Jeans: Jessica Simpson under $50 // Boots: Lolli Couture // Bag: BCBGMaxAzria (similar under $50) // Sunnies: Jessica Simpson (love these) // Coat: Old Navy (similar here)

As the weather changes from 80 degrees to 45 at night (there was actually ice on my car last week), I've kept a few lighter jackets handy like this favorite of mine, an old tan pea coat. There are a lot of classic styles, but a pea coat is probably the best investment I've ever made in a jacket. It can flip flop from dressy to casual and if you pick one in a lighter color - it works well from Fall to Spring. I wore it in this post last Fall and then here in the Winter. Needless to say, it's an easy going piece that gets alot of mileage in my closet.

I really love this color palette of a peachy pair of jeans, soft nude and pale blue.  Pastel jeans are great for Spring and these have just the right amount of stretch. They are actually cropped, so they will work great with a pair of ballet flats or simple sandals on warmer days. I plan on wearing them with a simple navy and white striped top and striped flats in the coming months.

I strive to get outside every chance I can. Sometimes, it's just for half an hour after work and other days I go on long hikes when I have the time to devote a few hours. I find that being outside really centers me and burns off stress. I've found a multitude of places around Houston to go on long walks like Buffalo Bayou Park, Terry Hershey (see this post, this one, and this one), and now I spend a ton of time in Cypress. Although I love being in the city, since I moved outside of town, it really allows me to see more of the countryside.
