A couple of weekends ago it finally felt warm enough for a stroll over at the Boardwalk down the street from where I live in a Spring like outfit. It's been exceptionally chilly here over the past few months and frankly I'm over it. Don't get me wrong, I love having more than our usual season of hot, but enough is enough. The skies have been so gray and this gal is ready to get some sunshine. Anyhow, there was a slight reprieve in the rainy weather and I jumped on the chance to pull out this skirt my mom gave me last Fall.
When you are building a closet of things that you love and go together it's really easy to put together outfits. Although I wear every color under the sun and oftentimes try new things, you'll find that most of my outfits have a colorful, slightly preppy, feminine look. Whatever your style aesthetic is when you purchase new things or decide to purge old ones ask yourself if what you are keeping or buying goes in line with the rest of your closet.

Although I am by no means an minimalist (yes, I have over 100 dresses and just donated 4 trash bags full of clothes), I do have a wardrobe that works together. On this day I grabbed a top I found at the Bluebonnet Festival and this vintage skirt and mixed up a few bright accessories. It took less than five minutes to pull together and really worked out nicely. I've linked a few options below that are similar since these are not available in stores.
