Trend to Watch: Sweater Dress with Mules
I don’t know about you, but it seems as soon as mid-January hits all l have on the brain includes tropical places and spring shopping. After starting a massive clean out in my apartment I’m getting more and more inspiration for both style topics! My espadrilles are already lined up and easy to reach. The other pair of shoes I’m gravitating as our chilly days are mixed with warm afternoons includes a flat mule.
Start with a sweater dress as your main garment. If it’s chill you can add a pair of navy or eggplant tights. I love this brand so much because they are durable, inexpensive and come in a variety of colors. When looking for a sweater dress, I like the fit and flare style where it’s a little longer in the back than the front. I also find deep jewel tones like burgundy last from Fall through Winter.
Here’s a round up of a few sweater dresses to shop
I love this bow embellished back I picked up two weeks ago. I’ve been trying to wear it as much as possible. It comes with a mini clutch and is on sale right now for less than $70. I own a few Ted Baker pieces and his classic yet feminine style proves again and again to be good investment pieces. Right now you can get 60% off many styles on his website!

Spring’s shoes styles are quickly debuting and mules aren’t going anywhere. I love this pair of knotted flat mules under $25 in today’s post. They required zero breaking in and no blisters! I wore them today with a dress, but look forward to cropped jeans, overalls and even shorts as we wander into warmer seasons.

Lately I’ve also been experimenting with new ways of hairstyles and make up. For the first time I’ve started using face contouring and I love the results. Outside of the occasional swipe of bright lipstick or a hint of colored eye shadow I tend to stick to the same routine. I prefer more natural makeup looks with smooth skin and big lashes. I’m working on doing more video content and I was thinking about doing a quick one on my new natural looking makeup routine. I’d also like to share how I get my hair to do these chunkier wavy curls. This is a huge project, but it’s time for more video on Three Heel Clicks. Please let me know what sorts of video you may want to see? Organizing or decor? Beauty and health? Maybe how I put an outfit together or tricks for dressing petite style!
Although this blog is about sharing experiences, I want to ensure moving forward it’s the facets you are more interested in reading about. I love doing style posts like this one, but it’s only one part of my life. I’ve been sharing more and more on Instagram and Facebook stories in a live setting, but YouTube video content has been a big interested in the past for me and this is the year I’m plunging into it!
Fall is here officially and I thought it would be the perfect time to share a few basics you need for your closet right now! Right now the colors oatmeal, mocha, and mustard are in! As much as I love tons of color I also love to reach for the basics on days I want to feel cozy. A few things I recently added and love are this soft chenille oatmeal sweater, this mocha-colored sweater dress, a walnut faux leather skirt, an off-the-shoulder top, and a black long-sleeve basic tee! You can grab all of these items from Amazon and they are super affordable. I’ve had these tan boots and a Coach purse (an old one, but a newer version in the same color here) on repeat as my main accessories lately. Don’t forget to grab a hat to top it all off! You can shop all my favorites on my Amazon storefront or the LTK App here! Happy Shopping and I’d love to know which look is your favorite!
