Three Casual Items for Weekend Wear
Sweatshirt: ActiveLife (almost identical here) // Pants: Old Navy (On sale for under $20) // Shoes: Sperry's // Purse: French Connection // Sunnies: Elli Tahari
I've never really been a super casual girl. I struggle sometimes to even wear loafers with a dress instead of ballet flats or heels. Some of us just prefer to be overdressed, but when I received this gray hoodie for Christmas I couldn't stop living in it. Seriously, every weekend I've thrown it over a tank top for lounging around or to go for a run. Last weekend I was on a six hour road trip so I decided to pair it with a few favorites I recently picked up for a relaxed look that was comfortable for being in the car. Here are the three casual pieces I'd recommend to anyone looking for a comfy look:
The Gray Sweatshirt
I like the softness of a light heather gray instead of a darker charcoal for a sweatshirt. It pairs nicely with the pop of these coral jeans or with a softer shade of pink or blush. This color even works great with pale blue or peach. Look for a shirt with good quality and a really soft inside.
The Pink Sperry Shoe
I've been a lover of Sperry since early college. I had a pair of tan leather top-siders that were my go-to for everything from river floating trips to hikes in Hawaii. Their quality is hard to match and they last for a really long time. When I saw these the other day in a pale pink canvas I figured they would be perfect for Spring and Summer this year. They look great with jeans on cooler days but as the weather warms up a good pair of white shorts or even a sundress will compliment them perfectly.
Coral Jeans
Last month after traveling to Freeport, Maine I picked up these coral distressed jeans that are extremely soft and comfortable. I only have one other distressed pair (see here and here) and like that these are a fresh take on that look. I also love how they come right to my ankle and didn't need any tailoring.
There’s something special about transitioning out of sundresses and shorts to more structured pieces like this black and white high neck maxi dress or this beautiful square neck black satin bow detailed dress. Both of these beauties are from CupShe and I’m loving what they are offering right now.
